PrE3

I’m sure pretty much all of you already know this, but I’m headed out to LA tomorrow morning to cover E3 for n-philes. If you’re bored/nerdy enough, you can read all my EXPERT REPORTING from there. To tide you over, you can check out my “picture a day” thing me and some friends starting doing. See you all next week!

EDIT: I previously had the photo-a-day photostream posted here, but it started to get out of control, so here’s a link to the set instead. I also added my latest photo-a-days to the right hand side of the page.

Drawn From Life

Is almost certainly one of the best albums ever made. Quit not owning it. That is all.

Plans for today? Scratch up everyone’s underwear, pee on a few computers, and lick all the fruit in the house.

You Know What’s Awesome?

Architecture. You know what’s even more awesome? Blowing it up. Legos wouldn’t be as fun if you didn’t get to destroy your creation afterwards, and I daresay that SimCity wouldn’t have been as popular if it didn’t include the option to have Godzilla ravage your perfect metropolis after you get bored of it.

You should definitely check out the link above, but here’s a pretty good montage of demolitions to whet your appetite. Could have used better music, and some of the editing is dumb, but there’s some great footage here.

This one just went down in Houston a few years ago. How did I not hear about this? Is there a mailing list I can sign up for to be notified of future local demolitions? I feel like I missed out.
